Installation Instructions
=========================

Choosing the right version
--------------------------
System Optimiser is available for macOS and Windows, with one download per operating system.

The macOS version is a universal binary, running natively on both Intel (x64) and Apple Silicon (ARM64) Macs - there is no need to choose a version matching your processor.

macOS
-----
    * Download the .dmg disk image from www.codaaudio.com.
    * Open the disk image and drag *coda-system-optimiser.app* into your Applications folder.
    * Run the application.

Windows
-------
    * Download the .exe installer from www.codaaudio.com.
    * Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions.
    * Once installation is complete, launch System Optimiser from the Start Menu.


Upon running System Optimiser for the first time, the :ref:`Data Version Manager<DVM>` will open and and can be used to download the latest dataset.
