Tabs
===========

.. image:: _images/view_modes.JPG
    :alt: Tabs.

Tabs are located at the top left of System Optimiser's main window. Four of the tabs are fixed: :ref:`VENUE<Venue>`, :ref:`3D SOURCES<Sources>`, :ref:`2D SOURCE<2DSource>` and :ref:`RIGGING<RiggingView>`. These are arranged in a logical way so that if the user works from left to right, they will be following an optimised workflow for the design of loudspeaker systems.

Tabs can be reached directly from the keyboard with **Ctrl/Cmd+1** to **Ctrl/Cmd+9**, in left-to-right order - with the fixed tabs, 1 = VENUE, 2 = 3D SOURCES, 3 = 2D SOURCE and 4 = RIGGING, and higher numbers reach any :ref:`custom tabs<Custom View Modes>`.

The green 'Plus' button can be used to create :ref:`custom tabs<Custom View Modes>`.

Tabs change the layout of :ref:`Panels` in the main window in order to allow the user to focus on specific phases of a loudspeaker system design. They also include the state of any :ref:`Panels` which have been :ref:`'popped-out' into additional windows<discreet System Optimiser windows>`.
