Application Menu#
System Optimiser’s application menu provides project management, editing, view and help commands.
- File
‘New project’ (Cmd/Ctrl+N), ‘Save project’ (Cmd/Ctrl+S), ‘Save project as’ (Shift+Cmd/Ctrl+S) and ‘Load project’ (Cmd/Ctrl+O) manage Project Files.
‘Open Recent’ lists recently opened projects, most recent first, with a ‘Clear Recent’ item at the bottom.
If the current project has unsaved changes, starting a new project, loading another one (including from Open Recent) or exiting will first ask for confirmation.
‘About’ also lives here on every platform. On Windows, ‘Settings…’ (Cmd/Ctrl+,) is here too; on macOS it is in the ‘System Optimiser’ application menu.
- Edit
Undo, Redo, Cut, Copy, Paste and Select All, with their standard shortcuts. These commands operate on text fields only - there is no project-level undo/redo in System Optimiser.
- View
‘Reset Zoom’ (Cmd/Ctrl+0), ‘Zoom In’ and ‘Zoom Out’ adjust the GUI scale (see also the View Controls), and ‘Toggle Fullscreen’ (F11 on Windows, Ctrl+Cmd+F on macOS).
- Window
Standard window controls (Minimize, and Close on Windows).
- Help
‘Manual’ opens this user manual in your system’s default web browser. The manual is embedded in System Optimiser, so no internet connection is required.
