Source Properties List
Within the Source Manager, sources have properties which affect their behaviour in the 3D View, and how they are used for pressure mapping.
These Source Properties are as follows:
- Background Colour
Grey: This is the standard state, when the loudspeaker source is not selected, nor has any warnings or errors associated with it.
Green: When the loudspeaker source is selected, either by clicking it within the sources list, or by clicking the loudspeaker source within the 3D View, the background of colour of the entity within the source list will be green.
Orange: When the loudspeaker source has a warning, either globally on the controller, or within any template within the controller, the background colour will be orange, as an attention getter.
Red: When the loudspeaker source has an error, either globally on the controller, or within any template within the controller, the background colour will be red, as an attention getter.
- Hide:
If the hide button on a source is enabled, the loudspeaker is hidden from the 3D View – IE it will not be visible & not included within the SPL Pressure Calculation.
- Mute L & Mute R
The mute button(s) on the source controller mute the loudspeaker(s) within the calculation engine. This will have the effect of turning them off within the pressure mapping, and also stopping their contribution to Microphones placed within the 3D View. It will not however, mute the loudspeaker when viewed with the Probes. If the source controller is in Stereo mode, there will be two mute buttons – ‘Mute Left’, and ‘Mute Right’. If the source controller is in any other mode, there will just be one mute button provided which will control all entities within that controller.
- Control Group Assign
The individual sources can be added to a Control Group by selecting one of the coloured squares within the entities in the source list. When this square lights up to signify it is assigned, the parameters defined within the control group that it is assigned to will be summed with the settings contained within the source controller.
- Edit
To the right of the Source list is an ‘edit pencil’ icon which when pressed, will open the edit controller for adjusting the parameters of that source.
