Source Types

Sources are categorised into three main types in System Optimiser. These are as follows:

HPSA: Horizontal Point Source Array
HPSA's Icon.

This includes loudspeakers that are either single loudspeakers (IE point sources) or arrays thereof. This category also contains loudspeakers which are physically arrayed horizontally – for instance APS in the horizontal configuration with the FRH-APS frame. To add a HPSA to the project, click the button that contains a picture of a HOPS8 in the top bar within the Source Manager. This will open a new HPSA Controller, for editing the properties of the new source.

SVA: Standard Vertical Array
SVA's Icon.

This includes loudspeakers such as line arrays which are hung vertically, or arrayable point sources which are hung vertically, for instance APS in the vertical configuration with the FRV-APS frame. Families of CODA line arrays are found within this category, including their vertically-arrayed bass externsions, for example AiRAY and SC2. To add an SVA to the project, click the button that contains a picture of 4x AiRAY in the top bar within the Source Manager. This will open a new SVA Controller, for editing the properties of the new source.

HSA: Horizontal Subwoofer Array
HSA's Icon.

This contains all subwoofers, both sensor-controlled and conventional, such as SCP-F or APS-Sub. To add a HSA to the project, click the button that contains a picture of a subwoofer in the top bar within the Source Manager. This will open a new HSA Controller, for editing the properties of the new source.
